Mr. June “J.J.” Jackson Moore
Savannah- June Jackson “J.J.” Moore, 87, died Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Hospice Savannah.
He grew up in Adel, Georgia and had lived in Savannah for the last 60 years. He served in the U.S. Army as a Platoon Sergeant in the 7th Armored Division during WWII. He was employed by Derst Baking Company for 36 years where he retired as Route Superintendent.
He is survived by one son, Michael J. Moore of Savannah: two daughters, Cathy Moore Smith of Savannah and Sandy Moore Robinson of Potomac Falls, VA; one sister, Clarice Malone of Savannah; one brother, Raymond Moore of Savannah; four grandchildren, Kayli and Ethan Smith of Savannah and David and Brian Robinson of Charleston, SC and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 29, 2006 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel with Reverend Myron Fields officiating.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
